The "2024 Smart Building Achievement Presentation," guided by the Ministry of the Interior's Architecture and Building Research Institute and organized by the Taiwan Intelligent Building Association, was grandly held on December 20 at the GIS NTU Convention Center. The presentation focused on the promotion and application of the Smart Building Material Certification, showcasing excellent cases and innovative technologies from various companies that have obtained the certification.

The Smart Building Material Certification is an important accreditation in the smart building field, emphasizing that products must possess six core functions: sensing, identification, processing, actuation, self-warning, and self-repair. It drives the smart and sustainable development of buildings through innovative technologies. The event not only highlighted the latest applications of smart materials but also invited leading companies to share their practical cases and experiences.

During the afternoon's case-sharing session, multiple examples demonstrated the diverse applications and high added value of smart materials:

• Yi Ding Engineering Co., Ltd. presented the "BIM 7D Maintenance Platform."
• Legoo Automation Systems Co., Ltd. showcased the "Intelligent Building Information Integration System."
• New Deantronics Systems Co., Ltd. introduced the "Mr. Energy 50001 Smart Energy Management System."

Other notable examples included:

• Intep Technology Co., Ltd. with the "Infni Web Supervisory Control System" 
• Sinotrace Technology Co., Ltd. featured the "In-Charger Smart Charging Station Management System," demonstrating the deep integration of IoT and energy management, maximizing the potential of smart materials in energy conservation, carbon reduction, and efficient operations.

Additionally, Hua Kang Smart Cloud Co., Ltd. presented its comprehensive solutions in smart property management, environmental monitoring, energy management, and equipment predictive warning. Yu Hung International Co., Ltd. showcased its innovative "Power Conversion Control System for Ethernet Power Supply Switches," demonstrating its expertise in smart power management. You Mao Network Technology Co., Ltd. shared its "Network Video Surveillance Intercom System," integrating intelligent communication technologies with security features, highlighting how smart materials can bring greater convenience and efficiency to buildings and enhance the application of smart buildings.

During the conference, Delta Electronics' "EnOL Delta Energy Online" and UNO's indoor air quality detectors were also highly regarded. These practical cases demonstrated how smart materials integrate with energy and environmental management, enhancing the quality of life and sustainability benefits for residential and commercial spaces.

Wen show-Ling, Chairperson of the Taiwan Intelligent Building Association, stated, "Smart materials are the beginning of data application and services. They not only enhance energy efficiency and environmental management in buildings but also help Taiwan's construction industry go global. The promotion of the Smart Building Material Certification will bring more innovation opportunities to the industry and facilitate the comprehensive upgrade of green and smart buildings."

Through this presentation, the value and application of the Smart Building Material Certification were highly recognized by industry and society. In the future, the Taiwan Intelligent Building Association will continue to collaborate with the industry to promote the digitalization and sustainable development of smart materials and buildings.
